Kids with ASD don't have tantrums because they are spoiled- they are trying to communicate something. Of course figuring out what that something is can be extremely frustrating, but once you figure out the triggers, you can try to teach the child better ways to communicate those exact feelings. Whether they learn a few words, sign or which visual aids to show you, once the child has a better method of communication the associated tantrums may become less intense or frequent.
